A New Car…or a Cigarette?

Help Is Available

We know quitting is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. Eligible employees who have completed the StayWell Health Assessment Questionnaire (HAQ) can enroll in the NextSteps Smoking Cessation Program. After an initial phone assessment, you will be paired with a Health Coach who will determine the type of support you need and work with you to develop a personalized action plan to stop smoking. Additional phone calls with your Health Coach will focus on identifying specific behaviors that might prevent you from reaching your goal.

For more information, call 1-800-373-3577 and start living healthier and putting those hard earned dollars toward something other than cigarettes—like a new car.

If you’re a smoker, you don’t need any more reminders that smoking is bad for your health. Or that second-hand smoke is bad for your family and friends.

You know it’s expensive, too, but have you ever calculated how much it costs you to smoke? The average U.S. smoker goes through a pack and a half of cigarettes every day. Depending on where you live, you could be burning through as much as $545 a month! That’s 44% more than an average car payment of $378.

Like most people, you’re looking for any savings you can find these days. Wouldn’t that extra cash come in really handy right about now?
