Health Advocate: On Your Side, At Your Side

In health care, as in life, sometimes things go smoothly and all the parts and pieces work together. Sometimes, though, they don't. When things don't go as planned, it's nice to know you have someone there to help. Now you don't have to deal with health-related difficulties on your own.

Nielsen is pleased to announce that, soon, you will have someone to help you navigate the complexities of the health care system. Beginning October 1, 2008, Nielsen is offering a new program called Health Advocate. This service is offered at no cost to you and with unlimited use.

Here are just a few examples of the kind of help available. Your personal health advocate can:

• Help you understand insurance coding and payment rules in order to resolve your insurance claims. If necessary, Health Advocate will work directly with your insurance company to resolve the issue for you.
• Identify the best hospitals, most appropriate specialists and even help schedule appointments with hard-to-reach specialists.
• Offer personalized, one-on-one health care coaching and support for answers to questions about medical terms, tests, medications or treatments.
• Answer questions about your Nielsen benefit plan options.
• Identify alternative resources for necessary or desired services that might not be covered by the Nielsen benefits program.
